National Honor Society
Being a member of the National Honor Society involves a commitment on your part to retain high standards throughout the remainder of you high school career.
This includes:
- Maintaining an average of at least an 89 unweighted cumulative average each semester (Scholarship)
- Donating one study period per week to tutor in the learning center (Service)
- Completing a minimum of 40 hours of community service to the school and/or community during school year. (Service)
- Upholding the other qualities of the National Honor Society; Character and Leadership.
A student who does not continue to meet these criteria for membership may be placed on probation or his/her membership may be revoked upon a review of the situation by the NHS Faculty council. A student is entitled to a hearing and/or appeal before the Faculty Council prior to such action. Further details are available in the NHS charter, a copy of which is available upon request.
